Using a data plan
First, make sure you have successfully purchased a data plan on the BetterRoaming app.
When you arrive at your destination, you will be instantly connected to the BetterRoaming network. This is shown by “BetterRoaming” appearing in the top-left corner of your device’s screen. Make sure you have the option Cellular/Mobile Data set to ON in your device’s Settings menu.
You can switch between your BetterRoaming eSIM data plan and your previous eSIM or SIM card at any time by going to Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data.
You can set your phone to automatically switch between data plans based on network availability by turning on data switching. Please note that this means your phone will automatically switch between your data plans, depending on the best available coverage. Therefore, you may incur international roaming costs without realising it if your phone connects to your non-BetterRoaming provider while you are abroad. Learn more about data switching here.
Here’s how to switch between different SIM or eSIM profiles:
Go to Settings
Select Cellular/Mobile Data
Switch Data Source to choose a different SIM or eSIM
To turn on data roaming, go to:
Settings
Cellular/Mobile Data
Select the BetterRoaming eSIM
Toggle Data Roaming to on
You can always see if you’re connected to the BetterRoaming network by checking the Status icon at the top of your device.
