Labelling data providers/phone lines

When you first install an eSIM, you have the option to give it a label. For example, you could label your new eSIM “Travel” and your existing SIM card “Personal” (if you don’t rename your eSIM, it will normally default to the name “Secondary”).

You'll use these labels when choosing which SIM/eSIM to use for data services. When voice & SMS become available you will use these labels to choose which eSIM to use for making or receiving calls and messages.

If you change your mind later, you can always change your labels. To do so,

  1. Open Settings on your phone

  2. Select Cellular/Mobile Data

  3. Select the phone number you wish to rename

  4. Select Cellular/Mobile Data Plan Label and then choose a new label from the list or enter your own custom name

  5. Please note: any BetterRoaming plans purchased via the app will appear under this label.
